Wielopole

Posted on 8 January 2008 by Jasper

The street of Wielopole in Krakow, Poland. I spend a few days over there for new years eve, so expect more photos from Krakow and Auschwitz.

It is interesting that your first panorama -pic of Krakow shows the daily life in this city , the traffic situation, people on the way to their work.. not the highlights of architecture for the tourists! The sepia toning evokes a kind of tristesse ( to me) in the still ‘grey’ sites of this -otherwise- ‘golden’ town. (I have been there more than a decade ago. )

You made a nice observation there :) I tend to ignore most touristic highlights in my photos even when I am standing right in front of it.

Btw; this is not a panoramic image, just really wide angle.

I like the brown toning an the vignetting – they give the photo an old-fashioned feel even though the cars are modern.
